LOOK WHAT IS NEW!Come join us Saturday for a Wetting Down and Roll In ceremony for our new fire engine.
A tradition in the fire service is to "wet down" the new engine and have the community join the firefighters in drying off the new engine before "rolling in" the new engine into the station. This tradition is from the horse and steam engine days. As the horses cannot push backwards, the horses were disconnected and the firefighters had to manually roll in the steam engine into the fire station.
Join us September 16th at Fire Station 11, 8500 Riverside Drive at 830AM.
